Rich Applications Consulting (RAC) seeks a full-time system administration expert with the ambition to be more than just a cog in a giant machine. The system administration expert will work in cross-functional agile development teams with teammates who are developers, quality-assurance specialists, designers, and business analysts. They will be responsible for ensuring that development and production systems are setup cleanly, securely, and in a scalable fashion.
On the job training, mentorship, and guidance will be a regular benefit of this job, with the developer enjoying regular one-on-one sessions with the Agile Project Leader and Senior Systems Specialists.
Job Qualifications
RAC seeks a system administration expert trained in one or more of the following: Linux Administration, LAMP Administration, BSD administration, custom making and building of packages on Linux/Unix servers. Someone who has a keen understanding of enterprise level security and scalability is a must. We prefer a systems expert that is familiar with programming as well as scalable infrastructure environments such as grid platforms and n-tier architectures.
