We require an enthusiastic, dedicated individual to join us on an ongoing basis in the role of Project Manager.
We are an award-winning online network, developing web-based projects of varying sites - from price comparison websites to simple informational sites. All our projects are our own and we don't undertake client work.
Our growth has reached a stage where we now need more structure, management and planning to ensure we continue to grow and build upon what we've built so far.
As project manager, your role will be;
- To develop a detailed brief for each project, from an outline project proposal (this will be achieved by ongoing communication between us to reach an understanding of the aims, goals etc). The brief will include key elements of each project, functionality, navigational structure and wireframe layouts (achieved with consultation among the team).
- Work with and manage a small team of usability consultants, designers and coders from concept to completion.
- Ensure projects are delivered within reasonable time, giving direction and generally managing the team.
- Compose RFPs for project-specific requirements
You should be enthusiastic and driven, with good written English and the ability to manage a small team effectively using online tools (we will use Basecamp or similar for collaboration).
You will have excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage 2 or 3 projects at any one time. You should be very tech-savvy and understand web technologies and the development process. You must be able to effectively communicate firmly and clearly to guide the project through to conclusion. A desire to understand a project, and ask questions when necessary is essential.
This is an ongoing requirement. Actual workload we anticipate to be in the region of 20 hours per week.
