We are currently recruiting exceptional individuals to join the Software Development Department of Upstream based in Athens.

Job Description
As a Senior Java Developer you will become part of a very competent software team and you will have to be able to contribute in all phases of the development process. You should have an in-depth knowledge of working on high volume, low latency, and real-time multithreaded platforms of mission-critical systems. The main tasks include building prototypes, design and implement components, as well as improve development practices through disciplined design.

Required Qualifications
• 3+ years of full time Software Development experience in a product company is required, along with a minimum of 2 years on Java
• Hands on experience in designing and developing applications using Java/J2EE platforms
• Object Oriented Analysis and Design
• Excellent knowledge of SQL
• Strong team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Understanding of the application development and deployment life cycle and methodologies
• Must demonstrate ability to multitask and thrive in a dynamic environment and ability to balance and prioritize activities to ensure critical items are addressed
• BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent

Preference will be given to candidates, who in addition to the above requirements have the following skills and abilities:
•J2EE/JEE5:
o EJB
o JSF
• JMS
• Eclipse, Maven, Subversion
• Oracle RDMS
• J2EE/JEE5-compatible application server (e.g. JBoss, GlassFish,BEA WebLogic,IBM WebSphere)
• Unix scripting
