[212]MEDIA is looking for a highly skilled and multi-talented Web Designer to join our close-knit New York team. The position is full-time and in-house only (in our New York offices).
As a key member of the creative team, you must be fanatical about web standards, able to hand-write exceedingly clean, concise, and valid code, and be passionate about beautiful design. You will work closely with our Creative Director and Lead Engineers, but must be capable of taking a project from start (the wireframe and/or design process) to finish (valid coded pages ready for back-end implementation) on your own. And most of all, you must be smart, eager, and pleasant to work with.
Requirements:
• 3+ years of professional experience
• *Expert* knowledge of hand-written XHTML, CSS, and some Javascript
• Strong experience writing clean, W3C *valid and compliant* code that is completely cross-browser compatible
• *Great* design skills to go along with a mastery of Photoshop
• Ability to translate designs into living sites efficiently, and without relying too heavily on images
• Flash, Actionscript, and general illustration skills are a nice bonus, but not required
