WHAT I NEED DONE:
I need a new home page for our magazine-like site. We need to start immediately, and to work at it until it gets finished. We only need the photoshop files for the new Home Page. CSS coding will be done by us.

WHAT I ALREADY HAVE:
We have a large, functioning, well-designed web site. It is visually satisfying (except for the Home Page) and many users like it. However our present Home Page design (http://www.globalpropertyguide.com) is not satisfactory. The design should signal youth, elegance, non-conformism, ideas, creativity, which it clearly does not.

While for a real estate site such as ours, the brief would usually state: "conservatism!" this is not our view. We are an original site and want to communicate our difference by looking original. So the site should NOT look like a classic real estate site, it must look more like a newspaper. We admire the International Herald Tribune (IHT), the Guardian, Time, CNN. We want to be clear and simple and straightforward like them.

Only the Home Page design needs to be cleaner, simpler, more elegant. More white space. The Home Page categories and concepts are OK, though they will be simplified.

SPECIFIC EXPERTISE THAT I AM SEEKING:
You must understand and admire modern conceptions of style, designs such as are found in:

You must have a portfolio which would sit well in StyleGala or other design site, or alternatively, if I have to take you on trust, you must be willing to work on spec.
