Key Responsibilities:
We are currently seeking an energetic and highly motivated Webmaster/Web Content Developer who thrives in a team environment, has outstanding interpersonal skills, and a desire to learn new technologies.
The Webmaster will report to the Design Manager and be a vital part of the Marketing Team. The Webmaster will contribute to the creative strategy of Palladium’s public web portal ensuring the concepts effectively translate into web content. The Webmaster will manage all website content changes, working directly with various lines of business and in accordance with branding guidelines; recommend and implement usability enhancements based on best-practices; review web analytics and make changes to drive search engine optimization; and develop multimedia content for the website as well as other marketing initiatives.
Responsibilities include:
• Make timely content and user interface design changes to the public web portal
• Work with the Marketing and IT Teams to ensure all website changes are prioritized and scheduled appropriately
• Collaborate with internal staff, content submitters, and upper management to bring existing and newly developed material to the portal
• Develop cross-browser user interface code using HTML, CSS, and Flash
• Create and edit multimedia content including, but not limited to, Flash and video
• Produce graphics for online applications
• Work closely with IT to develop content management templates, integrate backend data with the portal UI, and perform general web enhancements, while ensuring modularity and extensibility of the application
• Develop HTML email templates
• Enforce Palladium branding and usability standards for all initiatives
• Create documentation and provide training to content submitters on use of CMS and web best practices
• Monitor and evaluate web traffic and usage trends
• Collaborate with key business, marketing and IT stakeholders to review web strategy, progress and priorities for our “Next Generation” web portal
Required/Desired Qualifications:
The following skills are essential for success in this role:
• 5-7 years of experience developing with web-based technologies, building websites from scratch, enhancing existing websites, and optimizing the lead generation process via the web
• Understanding of user-centered web design principles, information architecture, usability testing practices, and Web 2.0 technologies and opportunities
• Development experience with HTML, CSS, ASP.NET, JavaScript, and Ajax
• Graphic creation/editing skills using Adobe Photoshop and related tools
• Solid Flash skills and experience
• Experience editing video in Final Cut Pro or similar program
• Familiarity with Adobe Streaming Media software highly desirable
• Experience working with a content management system
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office SharePoint Services (MOSS) 2007 or comparable platforms
• Proven success in creating global websites, including foreign language development and microsites, is desirable
• Strong knowledge of SEO coding, analysis, and best practices
• Ability to turn business requirements into Web deliverables
• Proven ability to maintain strong relationships with IT departments
• Ability to establish priorities and handle multiple tasks with strict time constraints
• Strong collaborative skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels with superior written and verbal communication
• Demonstrated capacity to thrive on high-volume daily content production and publishing in fast-paced, ever-changing environment
